People tend to mean it in the romantic sense most of the time, so no. Me and Logan were not on a date, we just went out together.

Friends can go out and have dinner or coffee, but that doesn't mean they are on a date. The way I see it, if you want to go on a date with someone it is to figure out if maybe you might want to become their partner somewhere down the line.
